App & site builder
Describe the tool your firm is missing. ModulawAI builds it.
An AI app builder for law firms, inside ModulawAI. Say what you need in plain language, a court diary board, a debt recovery tracker, a practice-area microsite, and it writes a working app that reads your live matters, clients and tasks. When it is ready, publish it to your firm’s own address on modulaw.app.

Capabilities
What’s inside.
Describe it, get an app
Ask in the chat you already use. ModulawAI writes the brief, then a dedicated model writes the app, as plain HTML or as React.
Runs on your firm’s data
Apps read live cases, clients, tasks, calendar events, documents, notes, forms, processes, intakes and team members. No keys to issue or rotate.
A sandboxed preview
Every app first runs in an isolated frame with no open network access. In preview your data is read-only, so trying an idea never changes a record.
Publish to modulaw.app
Give it an address such as yourfirm.modulaw.app. Publish an internal tool that search engines never see, or a public site that they can index.
Releases and rollback
Each publish is kept as a release. Roll back to an earlier one, or take the site down, whenever you need to.
Everyone signs in as themselves
Colleagues sign in to a published app with their own short-lived credential, not a shared password. It can write data only if your firm allows it.
Choose the model
A fast model builds apps by default. Switch the “Build apps with” setting when you want a different one.
One gallery for everything
Apps and drafts live together in Artifacts. Open one full screen, make a copy to adapt, or jump back to the conversation that built it.
In depth
A closer look.
Why build
Every firm runs part of its practice on a spreadsheet nobody trusts.
The recovery tracker in accounts, the hearing list the litigation clerk rebuilds every Friday, the compliance calendar one partner keeps on their desktop. Each is a small tool the practice needs and no vendor will build for one firm. They go stale because someone has to copy data into them by hand.
An app built here reads the same records your team already keeps in ModulawAI, so it is current the moment it opens. Nobody exports, nobody re-keys, and the numbers match the matter file.
Control
Built by AI, bounded by your permissions.
An app never holds a master key. It talks to ModulawAI as the person using it, so what each colleague sees follows their own access. Billing, account and admin areas are out of reach entirely.
- Previews are sandboxed and read-only
- Writing data from a published app is off until your firm grants it
- React apps are test-rendered before they are saved, and an app cut off mid-build is rejected rather than stored
Ideas to start from
What a firm might build first.
Good first apps are narrow, used every week, and currently kept by hand. Each of these is a single request in chat.
| App | What you would ask for | Who uses it |
|---|---|---|
| Court diary | This week’s hearings grouped by court, flagging any matter without a brief filed | Litigation team, internal |
| Debt recovery tracker | Outstanding recovery matters by stage, amount and days since last action | Recoveries desk, internal |
| Compliance monitor | Regulatory filings due per client, with the next deadline highlighted | Corporate team, internal |
| Arbitration tracker | Each arbitration with its tribunal, seat, next procedural step and date | Disputes partners, internal |
| Workload view | Open tasks per associate, sorted by due date, so work can be rebalanced | Practice managers, internal |
| Practice-area microsite | A public page for a practice group, with its services, team and contact details | Prospective clients, public |
FAQ
Questions, addressed.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the app in plain language and ModulawAI writes it. The code is there if a developer on your team wants to look, but nobody has to.
Can an app use my firm’s data?
Yes. Apps can read cases, clients, tasks, calendar events, documents, notes, forms, processes, intakes and team members. In preview that access is read-only. A published app can write data only if your firm grants it permission.
Where are apps published?
At an address you choose on modulaw.app, such as yourfirm.modulaw.app. Publishing on your own domain is not available yet.
Who can see a published app?
You decide when you publish. An internal app is kept out of search engines and colleagues sign in with their own ModulawAI account. A public site is open to anyone and can be indexed.
Can I change an app after it is built?
Yes. Ask for the change in the same conversation and ModulawAI builds a revised version alongside the original, so nothing is overwritten. Once an app is published, every release is kept and you can roll back to an earlier one.
What does it cost?
Building an app uses credits from your ModulawAI plan, in the same way as other AI requests. See pricing for what each plan includes.
