We’re delighted to welcome Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN) to ModulawAI.
PWAN, formally the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative, is a women-led, non-governmental organisation working to enhance citizens’ participation, improve security governance and strengthen protection systems across Nigeria and West Africa. Its work starts from a simple recognition: communities affected by insecurity, weak governance and human rights violations need targeted interventions that safeguard lives, dignity and access to justice.
A decade of work, in numbers
- 10 years of intervention across Nigeria and the wider region
- 3,000 cases handled
- 300 trainings delivered
- 30 projects run
That work runs through three programmes. Rule of Law expands access to justice and accountability. Citizen Security improves community safety structures and helps institutions respond to insecurity. CSO Strengthening builds the capacity of civil society organisations and lifts the voices of women, youth and vulnerable groups.
Why this matters to us
Organisations like PWAN carry a heavy operational load. Every case has its own files, deadlines and people, and every programme has reporting obligations to the partners who fund it. When that work is scattered across shared drives, email threads and spreadsheets, the cost lands on the team doing it.
PWAN is bringing its case files, documents and internal processes onto ModulawAI, so the team can keep that work in one place and spend more of its time on the people it serves. We built ModulawAI as the operating system for legal practice, and the access-to-justice sector is exactly where we want it to be useful.
What comes next
We’ll be working closely with the PWAN team as they settle in, and we look forward to sharing what changes for them in a full case study.
Welcome aboard, PWAN.
